It was a very sunny day
and Dottie was hot after her walk. Mum cooled her down in the garden sprinkling
her with water from the watering can.
The cool water reminded
Dottie of the day Wilf and Pip had been playing Superheroes in the garden. They both had long shiny capes with brightly
coloured patterns and their names on them. They had masks on too which made
them look very mysterious and brave.
The children had water
pistols and they squealed and bobbed about trying to squirt each other with
water. It was great fun and Dottie had
enjoyed chasing the masked heroes around.
On Summer days like this Dottie remembered how they
cooked sausages in the garden on the barbeque. This thought made her tummy rumble and
Dottie began to wake up.
She heard Mum call
“Dinner time”. Dottie yawned and
stretched and thought to herself “I like Summer time”.
I wonder what Dottie will
dream about next time.
