Dottie’s Day Dreams - Wonderland

Dottie was very sleepy after her walk in the park.  She curled up on her favourite blanket next to Mum in the Dressing Up Chest.  The sewing machine was whirring away.  Mum was making a dress for someone called Alice.
Dottie thought about the little bunnies they had seen in the park scurrying about and as she fell into a deep sleep she began to dream.  She was no longer a dog she was a rabbit – a white rabbit with a large pocket watch and she had the feeling that she was late – a feeling she was not familiar with.  Welsh Terriers don’t often need to think about time – only dinner time that is!

Pip was in her dream too.  She was wearing a blue dress and she was drinking something from a small bottle.  She grew taller and taller until she ate a piece of cake – then she became smaller and smaller.  Wilf was acting very strangely in the dream too and he was wearing a top hat with a price tag on it.
Mum was dressed in a dress with read hearts on it and a crown.  There was a cat too with a wide grin, and playing card people paining roses.

This was just too strange for Dottie and she welcomed Mum’s voice as she called “Dinner Time”.  Dottie’s tummy rumbled. She stretched and yawned and scampered into the kitchen.
I wonder what Dottie will dream about next time!

Dottie’s Day Dreams - Bunnies don’t lay eggs!

Dottie curled up on her soft blanket beside the Dressing up Chest and she listened to the whirring of Mum’s sewing machine.

Dottie and Mum had been for a very long walk in the park and had walked over some very bumpy ground where the rabbits lived.  Mum had spotted two little bunnies scampering from one burrow to the next. When she told Dottie – who had missed them - the little terrier got very excited!
Dottie had heard Wilf and Pip talking about bunnies and eggs a lot lately and she was a bit confused.  Dottie didn’t know much about eggs but she was sure bunnies didn’t lay eggs – that was for chickens! What she didn’t know was that another time for celebration was coming up and that always meant lots of yummy treats.
Her tummy  started to rumble and Dottie began to wake up.
She heard Mum call “Dinner time”.  Dottie yawned and stretched and thought to herself “I think I am going to like Easter time”.

I wonder what Dottie will dream about next time.
